Message to Community

Dear Massena Central School Community,

Some schools in our area have experienced potential threats and menacing posts on social media this week. Although the New York State Police have determined through their investigation that there is no credible threat, we want you to know that we take all threats seriously. The safety and wellbeing of our students is our top priority, and we encourage students, staff, and community members to report any suspicious activity.

Unfortunately, these types of incidents disrupt the learning environment and cause undue stress to students and parents. Potential threats are made worse by the spread of rumors and speculation. You can help by speaking with your child about respectful and responsible social media use, and by demonstrating this behavior through your own online presence.

By working together, we can continue to focus on the excellent work our students and staff do each day, while also making safety a top priority.
