Book Boxes

MCSD Community Schools is partnering with Community Organizations to bring Book Boxes to Massena.  The books in the Book Boxes will be free for anyone to take a book to read (or read to their children) as well as to leave a book for someone else to enjoy.

These Book Boxes will be created by students in High School and Jr. High Technology classes and installed at locations throughout the community.  High School student volunteers and volunteers from Massena Baptist Church will be helping to stock and maintain the Book Boxes with updated content.

The first two Book Boxes have already been installed at the St. Regis Nursing Home and the Massena High School (see photos below).  More are planned this winter and spring for installation at the Highland Nursing Home, Massena Community Center, Massena Town Hall, JW Leary Jr. High, and Nightengale Elementary School.

We now need to reach out to our community to help fill these book boxes!  Please bring donated books to the Massena High School front office (between the hours of 7:30am-3:00pm) and to the Massena Baptist Church (5 Dover Street, Massena) outside of school hours.

We are looking for books for readers of all ages with an emphasis on children's books.
