News of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) has dominated the media, social media, and other communications worldwide. Although there have been confirmed cases in New York State, there are currently no cases in our area.
Massena Central School is following all recommendations by the CDC and DOH and will continue to closely monitor the situation as it unfolds.
In the days ahead, we will continue to remind our students and staff about proper etiquette and best practices for preventing the spread of illness:
* Stay home if you are sick
* Cover coughs and sneezes using a tissue or elbow
* Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth
* Regularly and thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water, or alcohol based hand sanitizers

Our Buildings and Grounds staff are taking extra precautions in deep cleaning highly exposed areas and surfaces. Our District Safety Team is meeting to review emergency plans which include contingencies for at home instruction, should this need arise in the future.
