Candidate nominating petitions are currently available to qualified residents interested in running for the Massena Central School District Board of Education. Those interested in running can pick up a petition in the MCSD Business Office on Nightengale Ave. (High School campus) on normal business days between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Two seats, both five-year terms, will be up for election this spring. The seats are currently held by Paul Haggett and Kevin Perretta. Terms begin July 1. 

Nominating petitions with the signatures of at least 25 qualified district voters must be filed with the district no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 22. A candidate must be a qualified voter of the district; at least 18 years old; be able to read and write; be a resident of the district for at least one year prior to the election; and be the only member of his or her household on the school board.
