The decision to delay the opening of school or close school due to inclement weather will be made, if possible, by 6:00 AM by the Superintendent of Schools, in consultation with the Director of Transportation and the Direction of Operations.

If an emergency arises while school is in session, students will be transported home.  Your child(ren) should be instructed what to do if you are not home.


Announcements of school delays, closings, or early dismissals will be immediately broadcast over local radio, television stations, and posted on the District website.  In addition, the SchoolMessenger tool will be utilized to make phone calls to students’ parents/guardians if contact information has been provided to the students’ school(s).  If there are no announcements, the District will be operating on a regular schedule.
