Facility and Grade Organization Study Advisory Committee

The Massena Board of Education is in the midst of a process to conduct a Facility and Grade Organization Study during the 2017-18 school year. The purpose of this study is to determine if there is a better way educationally and fiscally to reconfigure our grades and facilities to support our instructional program now and in the future.

The Board has selected the firm of Castallo & Silky to lead the study. In order to provide the most open and objective process, they plan to work with a stakeholder committee comprised of various people within the school and community. The Board is sincerely interested in obtaining the perspectives of this community.

To that end, the Board invites six (6) community members to serve on the advisory committee for the study. It is anticipated that the committee will meet on the following dates in the evening, with a time to be determined: September 20, 2017; November 1, 2017; December 20, 2017; January 31, 2018; March 1, 2018; April 11, 2018, May 30, 2018 and June 21, 2018 which is a Board presentation date.
